When you’re swapping out IR lamps in a Sidel Matrix oven, you really only want one thing: a perfect match. If the wattage is off or the spectral output shifts even a tiny bit, you’re in trouble. Your PET preforms will either come out under-heated or, worse, scorched. It’s a fine line. That’s why we build our replacement bulbs to mirror the original factory specs. We want your temperature curve to stay flat and predictable. The nitty-gritty of the match It all comes down to how voltage, wattage, and length play together. If those don’t line up, your heat density shifts. Here’s the thing: if you pop in a bulb with a lower voltage rating than what was there before, you’re looking at a premature burnout. Not a fun way to spend a shift. We spec our filaments specifically for the Matrix system’s load. This makes sure the radiant energy hits the preform at the exact wavelength needed to get that PET heating fast.
