Because we’re filtering out that high-energy visible light to keep the eyes safe, the heat doesn’t hit “instant-boil” speed like a raw halogen tube would. But that’s actually a win. It creates a gentler warm-up, which means no thermal shock for the hatchlings. Built for the messy stuff Let’s be real: coops and bathrooms are damp. Waterproofing isn’t a “nice-to-have”—it’s everything. If moisture seeps into a live 220V terminal, the whole thing is toast. That’s why we use high-grade quartz glass and beefy seals. We make sure the internals stay bone-dry, no matter how humid things get. Getting it installed These units fit into most standard fixtures, but you have to be careful with the height. Since we’ve tuned the light for safety, the “sweet spot” for heat is a bit tighter than what you’d find in a giant industrial heater. Mount it too high, and the animals won’t feel the benefit. Mount it too low, and you’ll end up with hotspots that could cause burns. My advice? Pair it with a calibrated dimmer. That way, you can tweak the temperature as the animals grow.
